I’m Katia Montel, a freelance illustrator and graphic designer based in Trento, in the Italian Alps. I work remotely with worldwide clients - from independent brands and small studios to publishers and agencies.

My work lives at the intersection of illustration and strategic design. I'm not just here to make things look good (though I take that very seriously). I'm here to make sure every visual choice serves a purpose — whether that's building a brand from scratch, creating packaging that sells, or crafting an editorial illustration that stops the reader mid-page.

I studied Graphic Design at the Istituto Artigianelli and specialised in Illustration at the Istituto Design Palladio. Over the past five years, I've worked with clients ranging from Corriere della Sera and Les Échos to local producers, universities, and healthcare organisations — delivering 50+ projects with the same care and attention.

My visual style is warm, detailed, and distinctly Italian — shaped by the mountains, forests, and botanical richness of the Dolomite region where I live and work.

Projects typically move through three phases: discovery, development, and delivery. I keep you involved at each step — no disappearing acts, no surprise endings. I work to agreed timelines, communicate clearly across time zones, and deliver print- and screen-ready files with no extra wrangling.

If you're based outside Italy, we can handle everything remotely — calls, briefs, feedback, and file delivery — with zero friction.
