I designed a custom illustration for the official commemorative t-shirt celebrating the 50th anniversary of the "La Chiusa" Choir. The project aimed to encapsulate the rich heritage of the ensemble and the unique landscape of Volargne (Verona), a village famous for its breathtaking canyon carved by the Adige River.

Founded in 1971 by a group of friends passionate about vocal harmony, the "La Chiusa" Choir has since become a cornerstone of traditional choral music in Italy.

The Creative Process: Concept Development

To capture 50 years of history, I explored two distinct visual directions:

• Concept 1 (Classic & Symbolic): A structured approach where the evocative Volargne landscape serves as the backdrop for the choir in the foreground. The entire composition is framed within a geometric shape inspired by the choir's official logo, ensuring brand consistency.

• Concept 2 (Creative & Metaphorical): A more dynamic interpretation where the landscape is seamlessly integrated into the silhouette of a singer, with their hair morphing into the canyon and mountains. This surrealist illustration style creates a powerful visual metaphor for the deep bond between the singers and their territory.
