The Trentiner: A Visual Journey Through the Alps
Year: 2024
Client: personal project
Category: Editorial Illustration
The Trentiner is an editorial illustration project inspired by the iconic visual style of The New Yorker. While the original magazine captures the spirit of New York City, The Trentiner celebrates the Trentino region through a collection of 12 illustrated posters, each dedicated to a specific valley and its peak tourist season.
Through meticulous visual storytelling, each piece highlights the unique landscapes, cultural heritage, and iconographic details of the Trentino valleys, offering an authentic and immersive narrative of the territory.
The 12 Valleys: A Seasonal Calendar
Each month represents a different geographic area, following the natural flow of the seasons:
January: Val di Fassa
February: Val di Cembra
March: Valsugana
April: Rovereto & Brentonico
May: Primiero & Vanoi
June: Giudicarie
July: Val di Sole
August: Garda Trentino
September: Val di Non
October: Val di Ledro
November: Alpe Cimbra
December: Valle dell’Adige
Beyond the Covers: Merchandising & Lifestyle
To complement the poster series, I expanded the project into a custom merchandising line, translating the editorial aesthetic into lifestyle products:
Bespoke Tote Bags: Functional art for everyday use.
Illustrated T-shirts: Wearable storytelling featuring signature valley landmarks.
